Vac Russell
My Mk1 Dyson finally gave up the ghost when I was cleaning up my old house, prior to moving, but I had used it to give my new place (carpeted) two goings over before I moved in. I assumed the carpets were reasonably clean. I bought the Mach Air to supplement the Vax wet'n'dry, that I already had, to do the basic carpet cleaning. It is quite a small machine but it certainly has attitude, hence my review title. Put it on smooth floor setting on a longer pile carpet and you have to drag it off like a Jack Russell that got its teeth into somebody's leg!
The machine is quite small (like a JR) and light, but not at all lacking in power, and is also reasonably quiet (unlike a JR). Whilst the build quality does not look all that high, comensurate with the very low price, I think it will last a reasonably long time if you are not too clumsy.
I was greatly impressed by how much fine dirt this machine pulled out after two rounds with a Dyson.

Good for the price
Good enough occasional use but a professional gardener would need something stronger. The claim to cut up to 40mm branches is possibly a bit ambitious but would depend on the species being cut. I found it would cut willow around that diameter, with a bit of wiggling, but not leylandii. My only real moan is that the handles unlock, when extended, a little too easily, but maybe I'll develop a technique to keep a bit of a right-hand twist on as I'm working.

Tooth pain gone in days
My dentist advised me to wear a gum shield at night to prevent grinding and bruising to gums under prominent teeth. The tooth pain, which I'd assumed was due to an abscess, cleared up in a few days.
I chose this supplier because, unlike many, there was just one size of shield offered. It seems pointless to buy double the number of shields only to throw half away. I initially bought one pack to check the size was correct for me. I shall now make a bulk order to get the quantity discount.
