Does the job.

This dvd drive is very easy to use, it plugs into one USB drive where it gets its power and communicates with the PC. It is perfect for laptop users whose device comes without a dvd drive. My primary use will be to watch dvd movies. I downloaded VLC media player and it works just fine to play dvds in the drive. The drive comes with a CyberLink software disk to install for reading and writing disks. Although the box advertised it as quiet, the drive naturally makes some noise when in operation. It certainly isn't silent, but isn't too load either. Its design is slim and portable and it looks fairly nice too. A great buy in all!
