Brilliant!
6 of 6 found this helpful Was a little worried about using this pan based on other reviews on line but i went ahead and ordered anyway and sooo glad i did, i think the trick is preparation, i heated fan oven to 140, greased and lined the pan with strips of baking paper cut in to thin strips and laid across base of bowl and up the sides, i balanced the tin in another round cake pan as i wanted to have a level cake and this tin has a domed base which may lean on the oven, i also placed baking paper around the outside of the tins in a double layer to protect the sides from catching too quick, i cooked for 45 mins before opening the door and it had risen beautifully but nowhere near done, gave another 15 and checked and the top was starting to brown so placed a disc of greasproof over the top, gave another 30 mins and hooray one amazing looking cake!! i cooled in the tin for at least 30 mins before taking out and it came out perfectly. i used a 6 egg madeira cake recipe and it worked fine, i made a R2D2 cake for my sons birthday and can't wait to practice with some more ideas soon xxx
