Stress less
Great to sit down and read a great book. Have seen the film but there’s a lot to say about sitting down and reading a good book. You have to use your imagination.

Black and White? No problem.
Ok its not a recently published book. No glossy colour photo's. If that's what you like then don't buy this book. Gordon explains the techniques of using the tools clearly with the help of B/W photo's. Basic techniques don't change. Once mastered skill will come with experience. He explains it and helps you put it into practice. Wood turning has moved on over the years using materials you wouldn't dream of in the 70s.
Turners using these started with the basics. The book is very readable.
