Check the unit has an accurate gauge asap
3 of 3 found this helpful I fell in love with everything about this inflator the first time I used it... but I was in for a shock! I discovered that my unit didn't give accurate pressure readings. Mostly it showed 6psi higher than it actually was. Thinking my analogue pressure gauge might be faulty I visited the mot station 200yds away to check the tyres. They confirmed the dodgy reading given by the RTC1000 so I returned it for a (speedy) refund. SO, just make sure your unit is accurate as soon as you buy it. In common with many other inflators, it uses a screw on valve connector that unavoidably loses a little air so one needs to set the unit higher to compensate. This is more problematic with bicycle tyres so I eventually purchased an inflator with the 'flip down' lever on the connector. (Although half the price of the RTC1000 & without a wind in cable, it's auto digital gauge is 100% accurate too).

Simple to fit, easy to adjust.
The unit comes with clear instructions that are also on the Bayliss web site. Bayliss customer care were very helpful prior to purchase. Two clamps, 4 screws and half an hour in the fridge and the unit was easily fitted to my aluminium greenhouse. A knurled knob adjusts the temperature at which it opens & closes the vent. I developed a keen interest in the greenhouse for a while to experience the thrill of the window opening & shutting automatically! There is full spares back up from Bayliss and the unit can be fitted to wooden greenhouses too. Money well spent.
