Fuji Finepix F50FD compact digital camera

This replaced my previous 6MP Fuji and is double the pixel count and about half the size and weight of the old camera. The extra resolution will hopefully enable me to capture even better pictures. The camera is very easy to use and has good battery life. My only disappointment is that Fuji dont include a suitable case and it also does not have a docking cradle, so if you need to charge the battery you have to remove it and charge in the supplied charger. It's probably a good idea to buy an additional battery and also a decent quality SD card. I've opted for a SanDisk 2GB Extreme 3 which has very fast read/write speed, which is essential when capturing the large file size when on the 12MP resolution. The large display makes framing your shots really easy, and the camera has multiple preset modes. I have no hesitation to recommend this camera and hope to have a good number of years use before upgrading again. Regards Alan
