Worth reading for issues raised but weighted towards male version of events
1. Watched TV mini series and daughter liked it so brought it for her.
2. The book is readable and offers a convincing picture of contemporary Australia and brings up pertinent issues about multiculturism - onthe other hand I found it feintly misogynistic - or at least the men are more convincingly drawn then the women.
3. Not sure what others I am comparing it to.

spirited away - brilliant kids movie.
0 of 1 found this helpful my children have watched this when we rented the video and it has held their interest over a number of years so I thought it was worth buying for future use. An antidote to Disney and CGI it has extraordinary artwork and the characters are bizarre and rich. The heroine is believeable and its nice to see a young girl as the main character in a film. A film that is scary, mysterious and beautiful - to be recommended wholeheartedly.
