Excellent!
A really useful book about dyeing wool and silk. Takes you from complete beginner to some more advanced techniques (more advanced than I want to go - there’s only one technique in the book that I want to use right now, because I’m after fun, not technical brilliance). It highlighted a lot of safety concerns I hadn’t really considered, and although I only use one method in particular, there is a lot of background which is applicable to most protein dyeing techniques, plus helpful tips about how to produce better results, and work with the fibre sympathetically. I am very pleased indeed with my investment! (Note that I did say that it was compelling in my review; but probably only compelling to a select group of people! The average reader of books with no interest in dyeing wool and silk, etc., may find that their interest is more passing...)
