Excellent transparent DI for passive pickups.
Great with Electric Guitar & Passive Pickups, into a Mixer/Preamp... But get an XLR to 1/4" TRS adapter, the sound is super-hot, and the pad on the unit takes it down too far (15db) killing some highs, really only need -3db. Sounds great though!

Stunning full-range clarity, and depth. Instantly became my favorite headphones.
2 of 2 found this helpful I read and watched many recommendations of these headphones, and I was looking for something that would give me more clarity in production mixing, so I went for these without too much expectation because you never know, I just assumed it would be better and that's all I wanted.... what I didn't expect was to feel like I will never need another pair of headphones, they just sounded so clear and full range that it was outstanding.
I could hear tiny crackles in my recorded tracks that were just not there on other headphones, and the bass/mids/highs all come through equally well.
I can hear 1 db of compression, and 3+db easily, I can hear 2-3db of dynamic eq working, these are just so phenomenal. I can hear the difference between -80db of room sound, and no room sound after spectral removal, if I had to own one pair of headphones, this would be the pair. I have the 250ohm version, and it's easily driven by a focusrite scarlett interface, and a mackie profxv2 equally well.
