Euphoric Elation!
I've personally known the Tower since 1978. They've always been a 'LIVE' crowd pleasing band. This celebration DVD of their 50th anniversary denotes their ability to remain true to themselves and their music! After all their personnel changes, loss and gain of record company labels, they prevail! The energy has never wavered and is as euphoric as its ever been. I especially Loved seeing Lenny Pickett back in the horn line-up, knocking down some serious double and almost triple octave notes, embellishing the sax solo and Chester Thompson on the ebony and ivories accompanied by the bass pedals, and finally, seeing Rocco "Frank" Prestia on bass for the last time on video, just made the visual experience that much more emotional!!! This year is 55! May the Tower continue to Funkifize us All!!! A.J.
