The Ultimate Tube Mic
I’ve owned several tube mics and this tops them all. It’s actually the best mic I’ve ever used. For vocals it is better than any mic period. Better than U87, 414, C12 and Blue Bottle. Expensive yes so start saving your money

It's perfectly fine cheap mandolin
It's a DIY kit so everything does not fit quite right but a little filing of the slot where the nut sits and it plays fine.

Great mic that is ripe for an awesome mod.
I have not actually ever used this mic as it has been intended. I bought it and immediately replaced the capsule with the Michael Joly mic mod.
It sounds fantastic. It's supposed to sound like the Neumann U67 but I don't think it sounds much like that. It does sounds Neumann-like but with a more open and clear tone.
Highly recommended if you plan on layering overdubs and want the end result to be sharp and clear.
