Decent media player considering its age

Bought this primarily for the SACD/DVD capabilities. It's not too shabby with DVDs but doesn't handle Blu-Ray discs, so it's limited there. If you have a bunch of SACDs and/or DVD-A disks, it's more than worth what paid for it.

Phono input and phantastic feature set

This Marantz is just a great combination of compact size, a decent amount of wattage, and every feature you could possibly want (HEOS/Alexa voice control, AirPlay 2, HDMI passthrough, HDCP 2.2), and is also one of the more "musical" receivers out there when compared to other brands. And if you're getting back into vinyl, or just getting started with it, it actually has a dedicated phone input w/ground, something that disappeared from most if not all AVR/home theatre receivers many moons ago. Unless you've got a massive room and need earth-shaking power for your home theatre setup, you could save some coin here and put the savings into other components.
