How handy are you?

Well constructed. Hard to install though. I say it took me 2.5 hours to do all that needs to be done including install the receiver for the remote which is on a different set of instructions. I actually had to do research for installing the receiver because the instructions do not have enough detail. This install is not for beginners!

mixed feeling

I have mixed feelings about this doorbell. I guess that is because it works sporadically. Sometimes you will get an alert sometimes you don't. You can stand right if front of it sometimes and no alert. It's a mystery as to why. One thing that is consistent is the connection. I have had this for 2 weeks and have never lost connection with the device where I had to reset or reconnect anything. The picture is good in the day and night and I can see what is happening at my front door anytime I like. It keeps a log of all the times it senses motion but I am not sure if this is an ongoing thing or just a trial period. This thing is hardwired so you will need some wiring skills in order to install it. If I needed to be alerted every time someone came to my door, I would return this. However, it's presence is sort of a deterrent in my opinion. It looks like it's watching you even if it is not.
