Upland Britain, Roy Millward, Adrian Robinson, Very Good Book

Informative and interesting account of the uplands
I really enjoyed this book which provides a very interesting account of the changing role of humans in these areas. Great for those interested in the British uplands and specifically the history, archaeology and geography. This seems like an area of declining interest judging by the lack of more recent accounts. I'd recommend alongside the even older New Naturalist by Fleure.

A great intro to written Arabic
Remarkably readable and informative book. For anyone keen to learn Arabic I would suggest that this is a great starting point, along with the equally ancient BBC course Get by in Arabic, also easily available.

Granite scenery revealed
Classic study of the geology of Dartmoor. Wonderful sketch diagrams and a lot on the use of granite by the inhabitants over the centuries.
