What a Find!
This cd typifies the song writing talent of the late,lamented multi-talented Ewan McColl. I first really took an interest in his music through his son, Calum, but have since discovered what an interesting life Ewan led. I love all the tracks, but especially "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", which was written for Calum's Mum, Peggy Seeger. I was delighted to find this not quite comprehensive "best of" album so cheaply on Ebay. Some of the tracks have been tamed a bit from the originals but are still well worth the listen. Now I will search for earlier recordings.
