Ignore the micro transaction hate!
1 of 2 found this helpful Firstly, yes, I hate micro transactions, but the hate this game is getting for them is uncalled for!
The extras are a choice! You don’t need to spend a penny on anything in game! Sure, it’d make getting the real ending a lot easier but the fact you gotta grind for it if you don’t should be a positive! Adds a lot more hours to your gameplay!
The story is great, the graphics are good and the gameplay is awesome! There is a decent size map to explore and plenty to do! Attacking a fortress is very satisfying and some of the kills too! For me it is even better than the first!!
I spent around 40 hours getting to the Act 3 ending, this is where you’d have completed all main story quests... before the ‘grind’ part starts... so if you don’t have time to grind side quests or don’t wanna pay for a some help to make it quicker, just watch the real ending, which I’ll add is a couple minutes cut scene... then just watch it on YouTube!
For what I paid, £32 and getting most of that back in selling it on, I’d say I got a 5 star experience for the value!

At RRP it's a no, pre owned price... why not?
Firstly I got this at a decent price ( £20) so I can't be too harsh, if I'd paid full retail price I'd probably have been much harsher....
Firstly, the graphics are dated, looks like something from 2017 but that's the least of my worries when it comes to a game so that doesn't bother me too much.
Secondly, the enemies are uninspired.... after the first few encounters they totally lose their fear factor and become more of an annoyance, and they all look very similar, no imagination at all when it came to them.
Thirdly, repetitiveness, a lot of the missions are 'go there, now here, now back there for this code' and when the map is quite big, and quite bland with a lot of loading screens, it gets tedious.
And lastly, which might be a plus for some, is the difficulty, it's insane, I usually play games on hard but no chance on this, I had to go down to normal, and then down to easy! It's less about difficulty and more about enemies being bullet sponges and total lack of resources around the map, even on easy.... you'll spend a lot of time just sprinting from area to area avoiding certain death....
So yeah, if you're up for a challenge and think you could master this on the higher difficulties and are not too fussed about roaming around an uninspired map, I'd say go for it, but for no more than £20.

Total nostalgia!
1 of 1 found this helpful Obviously the graphics and gameplay are dated now we are in 2016 but for people who grew up with PS1 it's just great to revisit these old classics and for this price it's a steal for a good ol shot of nostalgia! Still really enjoyable to play too!
