Wonderful Movie About a Complex Subject Matter
This is a fabulous movie with amazing acting. This 1963 movie is primarily based in a mental institution. The actors playing the patients did a phenomenal job relaying the complex issues and varying levels of mental illness. I think James Best shines as the patient who thinks he is a Civil War confederate soldier. This is definitely one of my favorite movies. It is geared toward adults rather than children/youth, of course, considering the topic is mental illness.
