Great automatic pet feeder. If you need it to put out less food than the minimun please read my fix
Its a great automatic pet food feeder and its awesome you can set a recording to call your pet when its time for them to eat. We had an issue with it feeding our two cats the amount of food the two cats eat is less then the lowest setting of the feeder. I am very handy fixing things and came up with a couple of ideas to fix the issue and get the feeder to dispense less food than the lowest setting. Well the second idea came to my mind I think was the best idea so I will tell you what I did that worked for us. The food mechanism works like a rotating scoop and the lowest setting rotates the side by side scoops one time around and if adjusted for more food it does a two times around that is how it works. Well set at one time around was to much food so what I did was make the feeder rotate the scoop mechanism. than move the on and off switch to the off position when you can see the scoops open. So what I did was cut two small lengths of automotive 3/4 of an inch heater hose cut them to a length that just slides into the scoop openings to fill the space opening of the two food scoops. Make sure its just snug enough so it wont fall out and not so hard you would need to push to hard and maybe damage the unit. After filling the two scoops with the rubber heater hose it feeds our two cats with just the right amount of food. I also sliced the hose lengthwise and took a small section out. Push the hose to the back of the two scoops and there you go less opening means less food to go in there and than to go out. I hope others find this useful info to make this great product work for you.
