Planar but definitely not Plain!
Great authority and weight, slightly the power-hog but any O2 type amp or JDS Labs Atom will drive them just fine. Overall they sound lively, open and mostly uncolored.

Sony DVP-S7000 dvd/cd player
2 of 2 found this helpful Used only as CD player so far. rivals my X707ES balanced-output high end Sony player using the 7000's RCA outputs. Bass has incredible grip & definition down to 20 something hertz, and very smooth & natural midrange & treble. No tizzy cymbals here! Considering what they sell for these players are incredible bargain! New CD players with this performance cost north of 600.00 and on up. Five Star ratting! *****

Excellent quality earbuds!
I got these to replace older Sony earbuds. Tried HiFi Man - they had zero bass and microphonic cables...these Monsters have excellent detail and clarity and non-exaggerated bass. The cables are very quiet and made from durable material. These are a hi end sounding product that are under the radar- great bargain compared to anything else.
