Only works with very bright sun.
Unfortunately I live in the UK where we only have limited sunny days as this item requires.
Although it’s placed in an area that gets good daylight in the mornings, and moderate in the afternoons, the light rarely gives any illumination of use after dark.
The only way I think I can get this to work is to have someone move it to another location, which defeats the purpose of putting it over the door so my carers can see the keybox at night.
I have another UV powered item in the courtyard by my door, so it’s not that the location prohibits the function. I think it just lacks the storage capability or the build quality to run on regular daylight as opposed to bright sunlight.
A real pity, as it was a struggle to find a solar light that wasn’t all function over form.
The search shall continue.
TL;DR - wanted a solar light that wasn’t ugly, got one that doesn’t light up instead.
