3 out of 5. Networking by wifi is rubbish but bluetooth is fine
1 of 1 found this helpful I have 3 of these. They connect very well individually using bluetooth and the programming seems to be very stable for each unit in that mode. The wifi networking howevere, in my case, is appalling. The main router is within 5 metres of each unit. They connect to the network reasonably easily (took about half an hour or repeated trying but got there in the end). BUT the connection is extremely unstable. The units randomly lose connection and there is no warning that this has happened. On several occasions I was watching the app when two of the units just dropped off the network. They often fail to reconnect unless I make the connection manally through the app. After days of trying I just gave up and now run them individually with bluetooth. Looking on the web this is a common issue with the Bhyve units. I have all kinds of equipment attached to my router including security cameras. These all work perfectly with no loss of connection. I am sure its not my network and the units fail to connect even when I change ports on the router and even when entering individual MAC addresses for each unit. There is some inherent instability in either the firmware or the software. So great as long as you dont need the networking capability.
