GREAT SECOND HAND LENS
1 of 1 found this helpful I am happy with this Nikon 85mm f1.8 AF because it is small, light and made primarily from metal. Not big plastic junk like the new lenses. The Auto Focus is fast and accurate. The images are really sharp with awesome color and contrast.

Just What I Wanted
The Nikkor 20mm f2.8 D has been manufactured since 1989, and is manufactured from real metal so it has a solid feel, but is light-weight and small. Not like the newer plastic G lenses. The 20mm AF-D is unobtrusive on my camera body and easy to carry. The only disadvantage I perceive is that my Lee 100mm filter system for landscapes etc will not fit. However, I always have the option of just holding the filter in front of the lens to achieve the same results.
While this is an older design lens, the auto focus works perfectly on my Nikon D850.
Another advantage with this lens, is that the light-weight makes it more appropriate for my wife to use rather than having to heft a large, newer technology lens around.
While this lens was second hand, it was in mint condition and it produces beautifully sharp images, with good micro contrast and colour saturation. I am very happy with this lens.
