Great Introduction to Tatting

This vintage tatting set with the large shuttles makes learning or teaching tatting simpler and with it's "modern patterns" more applicable to young people especially. I used this set to teach a 20 year old the joys of tatting. She was receptive when she realized she wasn't making her great grandmother's doily's. Her interested was sparked with cool friendship bracelets, earrings, and other usable items workable from the patterns which are in fact unique. Nice lay flat book that is small enough to tote, shuttles perfect for larger threads though I would recommend using Lizbeth size 3 instead of the included pearl cotton for learning because the pearl cotton does tend to shred after a few inevitable corrections. Great set and great seller too.

Excellent Book for Tatters

This book contains lovely, more "modern" patterns with clear written instruction regarding reading the diagrams. Very clear photos with good detail. Perfect for all levels of tatters. Both needle and shuttle users will enjoy having this book in their reference library.
