Too inaccurate for use.
The idea behind the tool is simple. Unfortunately the plastic construction is so weak that it distorts as soon as pressure is placed on the workpiece. As you apply pressure the metal rod designed to hold the body in place while you tighten the workpiece flexes and the scale only moves after some rotation rather than immediately. So I was left wondering how accurate the reading on the gauge was.
As a test I used a reference mark on one of the cylinder head bolts I was tightening, tightened it until the reference was at 180 degrees and then compared it to the reading on the scale of the tool. It read 142 degrees.
I then did all of the bolts using reference marks as an accuracy error of 30+ degrees is far too much.
I do not trust the readout from this tool, nor will I use it again.
