A very fine recording of a virtuoso orchestral tone poem of Richard Strauss.

One of the finest recordings well worth hearing of Ein Heldenleben particularly the solo violin playing of Christopher Warren Green with the Phlharmonia Orchestra.

An Interesting biography.

Fokine was an amazing ballet dancer and director. I was hoping for some information on the Bolshoi Ballet Companies production of Paganini but unfortunately Cyril Beaumont 's book covers an earlier period!
