It’s all in the mix.
A great set of Kling Klang mixes. Be aware that there are two versions of this CD Single identifiable by the matrix number 8879842 @1 or @2 on the disc. The difference lies in track 3, the 2002 mix. @2 has part of the track that was way back in the mix on the left channel effectively removed. Why they changed this particular track remains a bit of a mystery.

Good Gravy
Up until a month ago, I hadn’t heard of this record label, which is strange because I’ve been buying blues records for years. I only found out through checking out a blues reference book for one of the artists that is featured, and some of the sides that he cut for Bea & Baby came up. The CD is a great introduction to the label, and has more than twice as many as a similar compilation on the Blue Boar Record label. Highly recommended and comes with a great booklet with notes by Neil Slaven.
