Not for hard water areas
5 of 5 found this helpful Basically it's a good kettle in that it boils water and, while it is doing so, as a result of the blue illuminated light, it looks great! However, if you live in a hard water area as I do, this is not the kettle for you. When it first arrived, by the time I had boiled it 3 times as I do with a new kettle, it was already furring up. I have been using it for just over 2 weeks and there is a lot of limescale build up. I am having to clean the kettle every day so that the water is drinkable and have even used a descaler twice in that time. The anti-scale filter is very small and there is a lot of limescale in our drinks. I don't recommend this kettle if you live in a hard water area.

Nice for toast, shame about the crumpets
It is a very smart toaster and looks good in my kitchen. I'm told it makes lovely toast but the crumpet eater in the family says that her crumpets aren't toasted enough, even on the highest setting although it is possible that she just prefers unusually crispy crumpets! I would recommend this toaster.
