Expensive, but worth it!
Stylish, compact and "does what it says on the box." Easy to use and gives good results time after time. I recently spent a small fortune on a Krups Bean to Cup coffee machine which makes great coffee, but takes too long to froth milk for a long flat white. I did consider just microwaving the milk and using an electric hand-held frother, but it was just too hit and miss. I looked at buying other frothers, but the Severin got the best reviews and so I decided to splash out - expensive coffee maker = expensive frother, right? The difference in price between the larger and smaller machines was nominal, so I got the larger one and I would definitely recommend this one. It is just as happy frothing milk for one person as several people and, with the variable temperature control, is useful for warming milk for sauces etc. I was surprised by how little space it takes up on the kitchen counter and it looks great. It is easy to use and is very quiet in operation. It is also very, very easy to clean and, unlike most electric frothers, you can immerse the whole jug in water (or pop it in the dishwasher - although it is so easy and quick to clean, why would you bother?). It comes with two magnetic rings - one for just heating and one for frothing - and it has a handy storage notch for the ring that is not being used so there is no chance of it getting lost at the back of a drawer. I just love this little gadget and thoroughly recommend it. Do shop around - I got a brand new one on E-bay for around 20% less than other on-line retailers.

You get what you pay for.
The brass colour on the fittings is very thin and the chrome is showning through in places. It was relatively easy to fit but started slipping (lateral movement) after a couple of weeks. For a cheap toilet seat, it offers good value for money.
