Does not really work
The larger, modern thread has a large internal diameter that brings in a lot of light and a wider field of view. Mating such a thread to the small diameter Parker Hale thread negates all the advantages of that larger thread. This adapter enables the use of a wide range of modern irises, but their benefits are largety negated by the tiny diameter of the Parker Hale sight thread and its limited light-transmission.
I ended up using a Gehmann 510PH adjustable diopter and accepting the reduced thread size.
I have yet to find a way to engineer the PH25 rear sight to be able to accept the larger, modern thread, but I have not given up.

Too small for .22 rimfire
These cleaning patches are described as suitable for .177 to .22 calibre guns - but they are really too small and therefore too loose to be useful in a .22. One patch is too small, but using two patches makes them too big so that does not work either. This is my fault - I should have realised that a patch that runs through a .177 will be too small for a snug fit through a .22 barrel.
I really need 1 inch square patches for a .22 - these are clearly smaller than that.

Excellent little phone. Albeit technically obsolete by modern standards.
Bomb-proof small phone that reliably works anywhere for calls and (short) texts.
