Looks and works great
I ordered a refurbished Black and nickel colour heater mainly because only white ones where being sold new at the time of purchase in the uk and of course to save money, it is to be used in my living room of a small terraced house as additional heating / cooler when required.
Im delighted with my purchase the heater sits well in the room, adjacent to my TV and base speaker, it looks like part of the TV set up, and im happy to have it there all year round which was the idea, the small neat remote works great too.
The high price seems to annoy most people from the reviews, as at the end of the day its just a room heater and fan for summer, which most cheaper ones will do just as well, but what you are really paying for is a well made piece that looks aesthetically pleasing, like other purchases from sunglasses/ jeans to cars you will pay a premium for something that looks well and their is a demand to warrant it, thats life Dyson isn't making people buy it. I would go for a cheaper one if it's out of the way / hidden or looks are not your main driver.
The refurbished heater came like new from Dyson themselves with a 1 year warranty (there are other suppliers charging more with only a 90 day warranty, look out for the Dyson address within the ad), it came 2 days after ordering.
