Mustad R clips greatly speed up fly changes
I've been using these little clips for years. They are perfect for trout fly fishing with wet flies & lures. Not so much small dry flies as they add a bit of weight. They don't scare the fish because the clip looks like an insect larvae's mouth parts.
They can be placed onto the fly hook eye using one's finger, but you need fine forceps for their removal. It only takes seconds & a boon for those with not so good close up eyesight.
As well as fast fly changes, the tippet & droppers remain a constant length.

Olive Green Reel Backing Line
Carp backing line - irrelevant - its just backing line that is a nice green colour & much cheaper than the brightly coloured stuff sold for backing fly lines. I purchased it for use on a new trout/salmon Switch reel (Vision Tank). The line is thicker than the brightly coloured trout backing line, so more useful as a reel filler in my opinion. Having not used said reel yet, I can't comment on the performance of the line.

Its a trout, not a carp
This BBB buckle is as good as it looks in the photo. Its a finely detailed nicely made solid brass casting of a trout, not a carp as I have seen it described somewhere. It is an accurate representation of a trout. One problem with the design is that upward pointed caudal (tail) fin. Being a bit rotund as I am, that pointy bit digs into my belly when I bend forward, which is rather uncomfortable, hence the 4* rating. On a positive note, being made of brass means that when the wire loop (which attaches it to the belt) wears through its attachment lugs (as they do after a few years wear), the lugs could be repaired with solder or braze & the holes re-drilled. As far as I know, pewter or other cheaper metal buckles can't be repaired.
