A positive gift at a transitional time
I work with kids in care and this is the book we use. This copy was going or my own daughter. It's a good gift to come from a dad/male carer as it breaks down some conventional barriers. You don't have to engage in intense discussion, just the act of giving the book is a positive step at a transitional time. Good luck with your own precious little people 😊

Cheerful patches for my little one's many knee holes!
Very cheerful cover-ups for my youngest daughter's penchant for scuffing the knees of her kindergarten school uniform. We put them on quickly using 'Wunda Web' (iron-on hemming web).
If these came with an Iron on version that would be good, but excellent value for the price and what came. As always, you have to think ahead as they do take a little time to arrive.

Funny and language-extending.
My 11 year old daughter, who is just getting into 'burns' at school, found this fascinating. I have never been so happy to be regularly 'insulted' on a Christmas day...
