What a wonderful experience to open the packing containing these two cameras! The seller kept me up-to-date with each stage and the packing was very good, enough to withstand the typical handling by RM/couriers and with 'Fragile' notices on the outside The cameras themselves are in beautiful condition! I did not expect this from 55+yr items; better than the photos. They clearly came from somebody who looked after them. Thank you for such a superb transaction. A+ all the way.

Excellent service, prompt and well packed, very good communications. Brilliant.
These are ‘just the ticket’ (pun intended) for a GWR branch line, preferably single track.
With a pannier tank locomotive it forms a complete passenger train. The Airfix version is generally regarded as the most realistic offering from the big manufacturers. The kit-built K’s model is heavy but the brass ones are better. However, these rarely come onto the used market. Another plus for the Airfix one is that it’s the easiest to open up to insert seated passengers. I had an Airfix one but gave it away after buying a brass one from Hattons for £99 plus P&P some years ago. But regrettably it’s sealed by solder so it enters my station, Staverton GWR empty and departs the same.
Leica R Elmarit-R 35 mm F/2.8 2cam SL mit Gegenlichtblende guter Zustand

You won’t believe just how good this gear actually is till you hold it.
I began buying lenses for a Leicaflex SL body I got for a bargain price three years ago, as the meter does not work. I looked round for lenses on eBay. Internet also advised that prices of R glass was rising due to Chinese-made adapters allowing Leica R lenses to be used on Japanese digital cameras. I thought, be quick. The 35mm focal length has always been a favourite of pros. Wider than the 50mm but not as distortion prone as a 21 or 25mm lens. The quality of this product is amazing. No signs of wear at all from a 1965 lens! Results? Astounding. No wonder digital Johnny’s are snapping them up, perhaps to add a bit of class to a camera that has to be plugged into the mains every night. Me? I use a Weston Master V (no batteries).

Best value ever in a camera body, even scruffy brassy ones!
Following the all manual/mechanical F (1959) and F2 (1971) the electronic, solid state F3 (1980) was initially distrusted by professional photographers including me! A close friend was more forward-looking: "if the moment you are pressing the shutter button, the light changes, the meter will change the setting for you." I've never forgotten that conversation in 1982. I now use three of these and have found that I can trust them completely. My trio are very early, yet everything works just fine and nothing has ever dropped off. The metering heads of the F and F2 had pets that wore out rendering them useless. The F3 has no such parts, and that is why they go on for ever. I also have an FE as backup, but it just sits in a drawer. Batteries are still easy to find here in Blighty.
The F3 is cheap to buy, especially if scruffy. Do not let that put you off. Scruffy cameras work just as well as ninth ones. Best value for money ever in a camera body.
