FX Lab Bubble Machine redesign is a downgrade.
I already had one of these items, purchased 2 years ago, and wanted another to match it. I recently purchased another. The item I recieved is smaller than the original FX bubble machine, does not have the FX LAB logos on the front and sides and the bubble wands are flimsier. I tested the new machine on delivery. The bubble wand wheel was warped and touched the sides of the casing. Being made of soft pliable plastic I was ably to spend a good ten minutes carefully trying to straighten it out. The original machine I have uses a standard kettle lead to power it. The new one uses a power adaptor which is less robust where it connects to the unit itself. My old FX Lab bubble maching blows the bubbles about 4 metres, the new one only about 2 metres. This unit along the way has had a complete redesign. The only positive aspect about it is it now has a remote control. Otherwise it is smaller, less well made, less powerful and flimsier. The packaging says FX Lab. I seriously doubt that this unit is made by FX Lab. I suspect it is a generic unit like all the others and packaged in an FX Lab box. It works, but not as well as I had expected it to. Also I don't have two maching units, which is what I wanted.
