Cheap, efficient little freezer.
More efficient, spacious and quiet than our old one, which we replaced because it was getting old and eBay had a 20% off sale. So we got a new one cheap, basically. Our kitchen has a gas fired Aga which is on round the clock. So it's very hot in there. This freezer works fine in the hot conditions and meets our storage needs. We're very happy with it, especially given the knock down price.

Cheap, good value small mouse traps
I've used cheap wooden traps before with varying degrees of success, but found that the old wooden ones I still had when this winter's infestation began were not well made and weren't going off properly, So I bought these cheap, minuscule plastic traps with an elasticicated trapping mechanism, and have been using them in conjunction with poison bait blocks. All my bait blocks have been eaten, which will hopefully curb the invading population, but these traps have also now caught three mice over a fortnight or so. Two were clean 'broken neck' kills and one mouse was caught, unfortunately, by its leg. Once the mice are caught and have died, it's easy to pick these traps up and dispose of the dead carcasses by just pressing to release the jaws. The traps can then be washed out and re-baited. These traps have been a good buy. I had my doubts when I got them because of their tiny size, but they've done exactlywhat I hoped they would, and yes, I'd definitely buy them again.
