Good Value For The Money
I bought the NAXA Model NPB-258 to use as a portable music system. So the first thing I attempted to do was to load the 8 D-cell batteries. Over the last 60 years I have had numerous battery powered electronic items. None of these presented a challenge to load the batteries. The NAXA was a case study in frustration. The battery springs are so strong it is near impossible to put the batteries in without them popping out explosively. Finally, after a half hour of a lot of manipulation and much cursing, I managed to hold the batteries in long enough to snap on the cover. Next I tried out the radio function. Both on AM and FM you need to dial in the exact station frequency before it tunes in. It is not like other radios that you can spin the dial and stations come and go as you turn the dial.. Then I tried the CD player. It worked perfectly with the sound being crisp, lush, and clear. Over all it is a nice piece of equipment (although I did turn off the light function- too distracting). A good value for the money (just get someone to hold the batteries while you place the other ones in).

Just the right size...
1 of 1 found this helpful Wanted a compact CD player & this is just the right size. Sounds good, controls logically set up, and easy to use. Only caveat is that this was listed as having AM/FM radio functions but is FM only. Rather than having a telescoping antenna, it has a long wire antenna which hangs in the way. This type of antenna is ok on stationary radios, such as a clock radio, but problematic on a portable device. Blue tooth and radio were not a consideration in this purchase but compact size.

Nicely executed (pardon the pun!)
I bought this not because of the "Godfather" connection but because it is a 1941 Lincoln Continental. For a 1/43rd scale model it is well detailed and nicely executed. I have another '41 Lincoln which is crude and clunky compared the this "Godfather" edition.
