I've never found a better one
This is the third one of these I have had, and I can't fault them. The pump action makes priming simplicity itself and the pipe is wide enough to maintain a good flow. I have one I bought previously with a length of hosepipe attached, to siphon directly into the garden (only for tank with large fish) and one in its original condition to siphon into buckets. The rigid part lifts all the muck out of the gravel and all in all I am really happy with the job it does. Do not confuse this with the cheaper, flimsier ones that look similar- there really is no comparison.

Battery lets it down
It's obviously a bit dated, but I knew that when I bought it and the price reflects this. I did expect the battery to last a bit longer than a day though, not even that long if it's being used.

Excellent
This book is intended for readers who are interested in how capital punishment worked in Britain in the mid 20th century. It is not everyone's cup of tea, and makes harrowing reading in places. However, it is what happened. It is an excellent account of the meticulous way Albert Pierrepoint set about his business. It is told from the viewpoint of his second-in-command who assisted him. This is the second time I have bought this book, I lent the last one out and never got it back I wouldn't ever want to be without it as I read it every few years. Highly recommended to those with an interest.
