Great book from a great author. You won't want to put it down.
This is the second book in Poulson's Samuel trilogy and is only the second book he had published. While the genre is quite different from most of Poulson's other novels, it is a wonderful and well-written story. Samuel, along with his family members and best friend is drawn back into fighting the evil perpetuated by those who nearly destroyed Samuel and all of his loved ones during his youth. This is a great book and I was very impressed with the entire Samuel trilogy, Clair Poulson has always been an incredible author from these first books up to those he's published most recently. Plan a block of time to just sit and read this book because you won't want to put it down once you start reading it, it really draws you in.

Great book about overcoming loss and finding Truth
This was a really good book that covered quite a few topics very well. April is in high school and has been abruptly drug from her home in the South to Boston in the aftermath of her parents' divorce. Outgoing Sara soon befriends her and the two quickly become close. April falls head-over-heels for her blind date John, a Mormon boy visiting from Utah, on a date arranged by Sara. The girls quickly become inseparable best friends, sharing heartache and turmoil, culminating in Sara's diagnosis with terminal cancer. The friends begin looking into religion as Sara faces her looming mortality. April struggles following the loss of her friend and eventually follows John to BYU after meeting and befriending his soon-to-be roommate Sam. Still struggling to deal with the loss of her best friend April begins to learn about the beliefs of John, Sam and her new BYU roommates. Her new friends try to help her find comfort beyond her pain and April looks for the comfort Sara found shortly before her death. This story is a real tear-jerker in places, but it tells a beautiful story about friendship and the search for solace after a devastating loss. Well-worth reading, but don't forget the Kleenex.
