Excellent worker placement game for up to 5 players
A very enjoyable worker placement game set in the 1940s in which players use scientists and engineers in a race to develop atomic bombs!
It seems an unlikely subject for a game and it put me off buying it for some time - but when I did I discovered that it's a gem. You don't drop the bombs, you only hurry to equip your nation with them, so the focus really is on development in a competitive environment. Lots of options of what to do and when to do it, with little hostile player interaction - you mainly leave each other alone and concentrate on your own game. Play flows along quickly with little down time.
Every game will vary as the draw of development cards come out in a random order, so you won't be able to simply repeat your previous game's winning strategy.
It lasts an hour or so with 3 players. I look forward to playing with 5 players as I think it will be even better. I would say players would want to be 12+.
Worth mentioning that the production quality of the board, pieces and artwork is first class.
