Disappointing

Expected some tunes I would recognise at least a couple of tunes. I knew none and unfortunately didn't really like the ones in the book. No titles of tunes were mentioned so I only had the cover to go by.

A disturbing read

Excited to get the book so promptly for book club. Couldn't read more than 50 or so pages as it was too disturbing to to read about such cruelty to a young boy. It is well written, but not for me. The racism and abuse was too much. If one can get past the fact that it was set over 60 years ago, then it may be a good read.
