Midwifery in the East End in the 1950s - One of a trilogy not to be missed
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is the second in a trilogy the first being "Call the Midwife" and the third being "Farewell to the East End". These are based on real life stories (with some very funny moment)in the East End of London in the 1950s and the experiences of midwives based at Nonnatus House (speudonym)where all the nuns were also midwives. I have already re-read one of them. There are some incredible tales to be read. I have recently heard that "Call the Midwife" is being made into a TV series to start some time in the New Year which I am very much looking forward to.
