This is a brilliant resource especially for Dyslexic youngsters aged 10-15. It's always the vowel sound part of a word that causes the difficulty with spelling and this dictionary groups words according to vowel sound. It doesn't matter if you are unsure of the first letter (knife for instance can be found under k or n), it deals with homonyms, plurals, irregular past tense - everything weak spellers find tricky. When taught systematically and thoroughly this resource takes away all the fear and frustration of spelling. It makes youngsters independent, words can be found within 20 seconds - it does what it says - turns them into ACE spellers. If I could only have one resource for teaching spelling - this would be it. The teacher's book of activities is also excellent.
