In your face!
Most translations of the NT (in English at least) were carried out by committee, with a theological agenda and may have been for a particular audience. E.g. KJV.
DBH translates from the Greek, which is pretty rough for the most part. Where it is written in bad Greek he writes in bad English. You end up with an account which is very compelling and at times made me laugh out loud. I love it.
