User friendly
Great in low light. Touch screen makes settings quick.

Useful but might not be accurate.
Very handy bit of equipment and the glass thermometer inside is well protected by rubber O-rings and strong metal casing. However, don't expect high accuracy from the measurements - I bought two and the reading in the same water differs by 2.2 degrees Celsius. One of the two is close enough to correct temperature but the other is way off. If you buy one it might be worth calibrating against a more accurate thermometer. If it's out it can still be useful because the error will be constant - just make the mental adjustment every time by adding or subtracting the known error.
