Amazing story
1 of 1 found this helpful Bought this because my uncle flew with the very famous author in 56 Squadron flying Hawker Tempest V's in March/ April 1945. My uncle is mentioned by name a number of times and the sorties he flew with Clostermann are described in detail.
It's a very candid diary of his experiences with amazing insights in to the experience of being a fighter pilot in WW2.

Quality watch but not the best
very good homage to ww2 fieldwatches. It's quality made for sure. The lume quality lets it down though. and the poor water resistance also. The movement is accurate and the power reserve is around 45 hours. Compared with other Field watches it's average.

Very good watch - recommended !
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a very well made and designed watch. The quality of the case being stainless still is what you would expect for a watch in this price bracket. The sapphire crystal is thick and anti reflective. The leather strap it came with is supple and well made. The indices are ice blue and the hands are orange Tritium. I own a green tritium watch also and side by side there is not much difference in the intensity of the glow. Perhaps the green is more visible in partial darkness but in full darkness they are little different. The price I paid was very good value. As far as the packaging leads me to believe this watch is manufactured in Oct 2017 so a few years still left before the tritium half life kicks in. The bezel does move forward a little too easily but has no play and is precise. Concluding this is an exceptional Fashion watch from Luminox much better in real life than the pics suggest. Easy to read the time in daylight with the black face and white hands. £290? It's worth it . Build quality is Swiss precision and I'd recommend it. Seller engaged before sale answering my questions which is good.
