This unit is extremely dangerous.
4 of 4 found this helpful All around the wick caught fire, either from hot fumes or from paraffin. The unit was very hot to the touch, including the fuel inside it. The problem would appear to be that the wick holder is simply jammed into the base instead of being screwed in; which would make this - and any other - unit less prone to gas or fuel leaks. I have years of experience in using paraffin heaters and this is the first time that I have experienced this problem.
