TWINSTAR Nano Plus for 66gal Aquarium Sterilization Algae Inhibition

It’s amazing but you still have to do some work

If you have a tank set up from scratch without an ounce of algae then this is maybe the magic bullet you’re after. But, if you’re putting it into an established tank, whilst it will prevent the majority of new algae growth it won’t prevent existing algae from growing. Considering I have a new light hood that’s pumping out the light my tank would normally be overgrown with algae. I am though limiting light to 8 hours per day and dosing daily with Seachem Excel to give the Twinstar the best possible chance to keep algae under control. It is amazing. Just don’t think you can drop it in and forget all maintenance thereafter. You still have to manage the other constants.

Trixie scratch mat

I bought 4 as we’ve just bought a new couch and I intend to put them on the front arms of the couch to prevent risk of any cats deciding they’re good scratching posts - as they’ve done with our previous couch. Couch hasn’t arrived yet so I just left the mats near their cat tree on the rug, they have used them every single day and will sit and lie on them (go figure, cats brains!). I’ve bought cat scratching posts in the past but only 1 of my 4 cats will use them. These have been much more successful at diverting their scratching.
