Incredible outcome as a film!
It aims to be a likable film for everyone including children, of course, it's animation film! Why not! But it's actually surprised that it's not entirely for children. There are lots of satires, metaphors and deep insights are engraved in this lovely animation. Look at the dipiction of the mother! Isn't she the alfa-female that we have been lately talking about a lot in mass media? Father is the one who we really know that he is family orientated one, as same as our colleagues and friends? Father used to be more scarely and patriarchial one somewhere in this world.... Anyway, this film is really 'incredible'. It's really really interesting particularly from a sociological point of view. This film hasn't got too mach sugarly coated deceptions, hence it's recommended to everyone, particularly for adults.

'transforming' postmodernims??
First all, I thought it's interesting, in terms of some aspects of post-modern economics, as we can easily apply the capitalism's systerm onto the mechanism of transforming the garbages(=the junk cars) within the film. The resilience of the accumulated robots could be interpreted as a metaphor of ongoing postmodern life. We are consuming and keep living! Actaully, this film isn't only for kids, however I guess it is only fair to note here that it would be required bit patient for someone who doesn't like infantile stimulations to keep sitting until the film is ended. But, see what you could get in the end, if only you could succeed to watch the entire film. It's quite interesting!!

lost adult-children of the big 1980s...
It effectively captured the time of the youngish adult culture in the 1990s. The film is functioned as a mirror representing the culture at the time. It's about an another story of seemingly successful, happy and affluent (typical or stereotyped) children who grown up in the 1980s. In the decade, everything was crazy and hyperenergetic. But, such hyper tension wouldn't be lust for a long time...of course. After the era, lots of wealthy and intelligent 'drop-outs' were coming out noticeably. Such phenomenon was not common in the previous eras... And this film is, seemingly, supposed to be synchronised with the time when such 'drop-outs' came out first. (After all, cineme is business and there is a marketing side...!Producer need lots of audeince for profits. Films have to be following audiences' needs/desire...) So, it's very interesting to see this film with the sociological perspective.
