Fast, beautiful screen and truly customizable desktop replacement.
I purchased a new W520 on an Amex member deal and love it. It's a beast; heavy & large, but fast and a great screen. However, the one I purchased was a Dual-Core and so could only handle 16 GB of RAM. I wanted a true desktop replacement for what I do.
I am a tech consultant and run several VMWare guest OS's as well as MS's Visual Studio 2010. The guest OS's include SQL Server, Exchange Server, AD, DNS and two or three processor, disk and ram intensive legal-specific applications. I needed a lot more ram and disk space to really do my job.
The gentleman who customized this quad-core Lenovo did a fantastic job. He added a second hard drive and an 80 GB mini SSD. I modified his configuration when it arrived by switching my boot drive from my W520 and continued using all my installed software, but was able to take advantage of the 80 GB mini SSD and the second drive. The new screen also supported a higher resolution than the one on my original W520.
There are 4 total USB ports; 2 USB 3 ports, 1 powered USB 2 and a combination USB 2 (non-powered) and e-SATA port. There are several other ports, including a Display Port which I use for my external monitor when working from home. The included 2 GB video card (as well as the on-board Intel video) makes running multiple screens in the highest possible resolution a snap.
Just a great machine. I also own a Dell and the display is far and away better than anything I have seen Dell put out. It's almost as good as my Mac Book Pro (almost!).
I can see using this machine for at least 3 years. That's a long time in my business and well worth the investment in a solid, high-performance desktop replacement.

Good price with a decent expiration date
I only drink decaf, so I take these packets with me everywhere I go. I have yet to find a hotel, restaraunt or conference facility that makes decent decaf, so I make my own.
Two notes: Do not boil the water. You will instantly burn the coffee and the taste will be lost. Pour the water shortly before it starts to boil for the best taste. This is true of making any coffee, such as using a french press.
Also, I like strong coffee, but the directions are to use 8 oz of water. My mugs are about 10 and the coffee tastes fine. Any more than 10, though, bump it up. I use one and a half for my travel mug.
