Great product, perfect to improve audio quality / range of modern slim Sony TV's (especially the XD93)
Excellent product, really improves the audio quality / bass range of sound (from my Sony XD93's). A little tricky getting 2 to co-exist with their respective Tv (65" downstairs, 55" upstairs - & have one in black this one in white). There is a bug in the current o/s on the TV within Android - sound (full audio range not just bass) can blast out of sub sometimes, usually when tv is powered on - despite the TV still being set to use headphone socket as the sub correctly- the quick fix - is to set the headphone socket to another mode and then set it back to sub but the longer term / permanent fix is to reset the whole tv to factory settings while the sub is connected and working. It then sets itself up and is fine then (this written late August 2016 - another software update due September 16). The price of it brand new is a little too high IMO; £199 ought to be its max RRP - when compared to other brand sub-woofers but hey ho, its bespoke to the Sony brand and has their name on it :-(
One difference I noted; the black one I have has a green status LED (with corresponding user manual talking about a green light during set-up / usage) and the white sub - an amber light (for the same purpose) with the manual talking about amber in that one - so there seems to be subtle different variations of the unit. Only mentioning this as having set-up the black one, I felt I didn't need to read the manual again for the white one - and so was thrown-off by not getting a green light - just amber - which was actually indicating that one was actually working normally!
